Biography[CV]
I'm an undergraduate student in Peking University and will begin my ECE PhD career at Wisconsin-Madison in Fall 2019.
Personally I'm interested in multiple topics relevant to optics and photonic devices. My past research experiences include: testing/simplifying machine learning algorithms in optical communication, improving topology-optimization for inverse design of nanophotonic devices, analyzing LiDAR system theoretically, and developing GAN-based image compression for reliable video transmission in wireless channel.
Although I do not major in physics, I've been taking multiple physics courses and am still trying to gain some intuitions. In the future I will be doing interdisciplinary research focusing on application of machine learning algorithms in physics (mainly optics and photonics). I hope that data-driven perspective will inject new vitality into optical engineering research.
